LEDs are definitely becoming the first choice for lighting, and the use of sensors is becoming increasingly widespread. This is shown by the analysis of the Swiss lighting and sensor market in 2021.
It should also be noted that LEDs have made a significant contribution to reducing electricity consumption in recent years. In 2021, lighting consumed 6.5 TWh, which represents 11% of Switzerland's total electricity consumption.
The industry is aiming for a further reduction of 50% compared to 2018, to 3.5 TWh.
